I'm Lynn, 21 and still discovering the world.

“But the beginning of things, of a world especially, is necessarily vague, tangled, chaotic, and exceedingly disturbing. How few of us ever emerge from such beginnings! How many souls perish in its tumult!”

DIY Wine Box Shelves. You can always ask for these boxes where wine is sold - grocery stores (if your states lets them sell alcohol) etc… Tutorial from Cin Decor here. *You can do the same thing with drawers, but wine boxes are somewhat lighter and usually free. You can hang them with a belt like in this post.

Two DIY Knockoff Lord Bodner Octopus Triptych Tutorials:
$3,550 Lord Bodner Octopus Triptych here.
DIY Knockoff tutorial from Revamp Homegoods here. *I like the clipart of the octopus on the black canvas before the hand painting of the image better. I’d try and either print it on tissue paper or vellum, or get a super cheap “engineer’s copy” from Staples and then adhere it to the canvases.
The Graphics Fairyclipart here. *Tons of Steampunk and clipart images on this site for commercial use!
DIY tutorial from 1922 House here (read comments) here.

Nine DVD and CD Recycle Reuse Tutorials. I started looking for recycling ideas when I realized I had hundreds of DVDs that didn’t render correctly in Premier and were worthless. When I started looking for ideas for recycling components of CDs and DVDs I had no idea there would be so few that I would actually want to do (and I didn’t include the impossible or impractical in this list like the CD greenhouse). Here are a few I did like:
DIY Mosaic Mirror Frame (Cut Out + Keep) here.
DIY Book Clutch from a DVD case (craftzine) here.
DIY CD Jewel Case Mural using one of my favorite programs: Rasterbator - google it to find amazing images online (Instrucables) here.
DIY Mirrored Collar Using CDs (aetienne.net) here.
DIY Travel Dry Erase Board with tissues and pens inside (A Creative Cookie) here.
DIY DVD Color Pencil and Paper Carrying Case (Handmade by Stacy Vaughn) here.
DIY CD Jewel Case Desk Calendar with 2012 Calendar PDF Download (craftzine) here.
DIY CD Jewel Case Photo Display and Candle Holder - although I’d use LED tea lights (Designmom) here.
DIY CD/DVD Spindle Case for Cord Storage (lifehacker) here.

There are plenty of others willing to call you a failure. A fool. A loser. A hopeless souse! Don’t you ever say it of yourself. You send out the wrong signal. That is what people pick up. Do you understand? If you care about something fight for it. You hit a wall, push through it. There’s something you need to know about failure, Tintin: You can never let it defeat you. Captain Haddock, The Adventures of Tintin (via quote-book)
